After all the worrying your husband did about homeschooling, he was the one that didn't want to socialize! I had the same type of situation with my husband and our oldest daughter. I wanted to homeschool, he was less than enthusiastic. He gave us a one year trial, over the kindergarten year. That was over 4 years ago. Our oldest is in "3rd grade", and now my husband is adamantly against putting our girls into any kind of school institution! I have pretty much decided to go ahead with buying one of the curriculums in the near future. I had some initial sticker shock, but was cured of this when I went on ebay and Amazon and added up the cost of the lowest priced used books plus shipping.
