Random thoughts about motherhood, marriage, my work as a nurse, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I am wife to one stubborn, lovable man, and mother of one sweet girl and one dimpled little boy. I am learning as I go how to live my life in a way that honors my Creator.
I named this place Small Swift Birds for a Cowboy Junkies song about the danger inherent in taking for granted how blessed we are, even in the little mundane parts of life. I need to remind myself of this on a daily basis, because I am a big fat whiner on most days.
HIPPA disclaimer: when and if I write about persons, events, diagnoses, and clinical settings that I encounter, they are all composites of patients and events and in fact, are probably completely made up.
