Yesterday the midwife asked Jubilee, who was lying next to me on the exam table, where she thought the baby’s heartbeat would be best found. It is 9 am. I just returned home from my very last night shift at City Hospital.
Now I need to go sleep, because I have to go take a urine drug screen and undergo all kinds of poking with needles at 3 pm, in preparation for my new job, which starts Monday.
